Chopped Greek Salad Wraps

I don’t do a lot of sponsored posts, but c’mon… it’s cheese!

Sargento asked me to check out their new “ultra thin” cheese slices.  They’re pretty rad.  I mean the jist is there is 45 calories or fewer per slice, mostly because they are really thin.  Which doesn’t seem that genius except, you melt those bad boys and those thin slices go far! I love me some cheese, and having such thin, low cal slices is really helpful with portion control.  I was also pretty stoked they don’t skim on the amount of product either.  Each package has 20 slices!  So that’s a lotta bang for your buck too.

The Sargento website has tons of recipes.  You can see the ultra thin recipes here.  Tonight I made “Chopped Greek Salad Wraps.”

  • 2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 large plum tomato, chopped (1 cup)
  • 1/4 cup each: sliced pitted kalamata olives and chopped cucumber
  • 1 Tbsp. each: olive oil and red wine vinegar
 Full recipe and instructions here.

They were super simple (I mean I did a little chopping and dinner was served in maybe 5 minutes) and delicious.  This is probably something I would make again in the evening and then stretch it out for several days lunch.  Next time I might add some artichoke hearts too.

And for gratuitous food photo ops, here is the end result!

Local people: I was able to find these at HyVee and they had all the varieties available.  For real though, these will be a staple in my house.  I simply can’t trust myself with a hunk of cheese, so this is perfect.  If you try them let me know what you think!

xoxo, Mama
